Boston Globe Today was a daily live show highlighting news stories in Boston, produce by The Boston Globe and aired on NESN. The motion graphics elements I designed were used in the commercials promoting the show.
We modeled a cityscape of Boston made of paper that unfolded to the shape of recognizable buildings and landmarks, an ode to the Globe’s printed newspapers reimagined in a digital landscape. A secondary animation implemented paper unfolding to reveal all the devices that could be used to stream the show on the DTC platform NESN360.

The modeled city and paper folding scenes were built in Cinema 4d using scans of Boston Globe newspapers. Color grading and additional refinement was done in After Effects.
